About us
Native American-owned and designed streetwear brand founded by a member of the Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel in Southern California.
Our mission is simple: to honor Native history, celebrate Indigenous resilience, and create clothing that tells the stories too often left out of history books.
The phrase "noble savage" has a long and complicated history. Originating in European thought, it was used to describe Indigenous peoples as living in harmony with nature, but it also reduced diverse Native nations and cultures to a romanticized stereotype created by outsiders. For many, the term carries painful historical baggage.
As a Native-owned company, we choose to reclaim the name from our own perspective—not to celebrate the stereotype, but to challenge it. We believe Native people have the right to define ourselves, tell our own stories, and preserve our own history. Our use of the name reflects that purpose and should be understood in the context of a Native-owned brand honoring Native voices.
Many of our designs feature historical Native leaders, warriors, and significant moments in Indigenous history. We strive to portray these subjects with respect while encouraging people to look beyond the artwork and learn about the real people, nations, and events that shaped history. Our clothing is inspired by history and created to spark curiosity, conversation, and a deeper appreciation for Indigenous cultures.
While our artwork often draws from historical events and figures, it is artistic expression rather than a substitute for historical scholarship. We encourage everyone to continue learning from Native communities, historians, and tribal nations.
Every piece is designed with purpose, blending Indigenous heritage with modern streetwear to create apparel that carries meaning beyond fashion. When you wear Noble Savages, you wear a conversation about resilience, survival, identity, and the enduring spirit of Native peoples.
Thank you for supporting an Indigenous-owned small business. Your support helps preserve Native storytelling through art and allows an Iipay-owned company to continue creating meaningful designs that honor the past while looking toward the future.
